    2. did you retrim the seats yourself? i know you did the dash (looks 10/10) but im not sure about the seats

    3. what sort of paint did you use and how much were the new discs?

    4. where did you find that steering boss?

    cheers
But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."
I just reply, "your daughter, sir." - some dude on stanceworks

I had fixed half the broken crap but that just meant it was still halfway inoperable

    1. Not a question... but thanks I think.

    2. The seat trims were bought from TMI(USA), made to my specifications. I then put the trims on the seats(with help, need a whole lot of pulling, b$*#h slapping and rubbing to get it all into place).

3.I used a filler primer, primer, then Acrylic colour and clear coat.

    4. Boss kit was from fleabay.

    Thanks

Stripped it(gently pulled the old carpet off), then I made a template out of paper(cut very thin slivers out), very detailed(can send you a pic later), and slowly glued the carpet on, each section at a time. Probably one if the simpler jobs on the car. Only about 3-4hrs of labour.

One of my old MK1's had a fiberglass rear parcel tray. Just needed carpeting but that might be the easiest way to go.

You'd need to borrow someones parcel tray to use as a mold or make one out of wood and use that as the mold.

So, a bit of an update.

I have been driving the MK1 since November, been on some good hills runs, driven it around the place a fair bit, it's definately more suited to being a weekender than a daily, a little too rough for everyday duties.

Anyways, we all know you're here for the pics, so here are a few.

    Final Details on the car:

So the car has actually been very good, Haven't had any breakdowns, cruises nicely, a few rattles around the place to sort still(it's a 39YO car), was honestly expecting more issues than I have had, so that's been great.

Some pics from some of the drives I've taken it on
