    Wow nice one man, I prefer single headlight grills a lot more on Mk1s. Good to see you've kept it, the plan sounds saweeet.

    yeah, this was the grille I pinched off the 4dr donor
    I much prefer single headlight on mk1! twins just look weird!

    I am told you can get BMW e30 wheels that are a bbs mesh 14x6.5 to fit mk1 golf
    I will go 2nd hand as I have small budget atm.

    What did you do with your old grille? I need the red stripe on the edge. Paint doesn't have to be good, just needs to be straight. PM me if we can work something out.

    gonna hang onto it for now, like to have spares..... paint work is crappy anyway... not a genuine gti grille...

    I would sell my left nut for a quad GTI grille (red stripe)...

    My personal thought, but to all the haters, I personally think mk1's with quad grilles (red) is as tough as it gets...
    Genuine quad grille's pretty much have to be had from the UK and cost a mint....

    I reckon a genuine one on the later mk1's look really good!
    the one that was on my mk1 which is a 4th month '76 looked hideous.... the inner headlight holes were cut out by an amateur.. and the paint work was pretty ordinary as well... it had to go!
