Matt get yourself some dynamat! Its well worth it and not as heavy as what people say! A small pack which is like 6 sheets will comfortably do the mk1!
Thanks Steve, might go grab some and some POR15 tomorrow and give it a go. Will be much better than the stuff in it atm.
Will try and block up some of the leaks in the firewall while i'm at it.

I want to pull up all the sound deadening stuff and buy a pack of dynomat to cover it all with. I think I will coat the firewall with the sealer, was easy to use and has a nice thick coating.
I am driving this down to DOVW so the 1600 and 4 speed are going out and an 1800 with the 4T 5 speed box I scored yesterday will be going in :)
Also got some tidy ups to do, fix and end cap and try and straighten the front bumper some more. Would also like to give the paint a really really good clean up and maybe buff it all.
I've got a surprise wheel project going on too, think you will have to be at DOVW to see that revealed though :cool:

GX with extractors + 5 speed, should go well and not be to bad on fuel. I'm finishing up tidying up and putting the wiring etc. back on.
Major thing now done before DOVW, hopefully I can get it all sorted and running with no issues.
