What was the problem in the end?

one of the large pressure plate bolt heads had come off and was stuck behind that plate that gets push by the clutch rod...no biggy really!

drives great now except it still has a hesitation about 3/4 throttle so its either drive nice or drive hard

ALL SHOULD LEARN - always use new pressure plate bolts with the factory "loctite stuff" - and use a real torque wrench, not your clicky tennis elbow.

always wanted to do mine in it, never a huge fan of the beige haha until few months back - time to crease my trousers and tuck my shirt in before i head down to the local lawn bowls club perhaps! lol

i reckon keep the gold wheels, but either way hot damn im savin those pics to the mk1 folder!
