    Get a strong metal bar and give some leverage to the breaker bar!

    I've seen socket's shatter trying to undo seized on driveshaft nut's.

    I've also got a top of the line snap on rattle (cannon) gun & that can't even budge them!

    If it's really siezed on good, I soak the crap out of it with wurth rost off & in some cases overnight!
    I use a long snap on breaker bar & preferrably a impact socket & a big steel pipe I've got here.
    Also have someone in the car with they're foot firmly stamped on the brakes.

    Sometime's giving it a hit with the old knockometer can shock it too.

    Golf drive shaft nuts are a service item, they're not supposed to re-used. Provided you can source new ones (GAP sells them) you can always drill and split the real stubborn ones.

    This is true, as they a crush/self locking nut

    But if they if your alway's pulling them out on your own car, you can reuse them a couple times.

    If it's a customer's car, then replace them without question. They also come new in CV Joint boot kit's.




    One other thing I highly recommend & do without question myself.

    If you have to replace one wheel bearing, you should definately replace them as a pair & replace the other one.

    thanks boyssss! i had a 30mm socket with a breaker bar and a long pole on her and had it in gear and the motor just turned over lol so i will have to get someone to stomp on the brakes.

    i will tell ya how it goes

    no handbrake?

    you can also use wheel chocks or bricks
    TDI mk1 on the road!!
