    ok the ones that screw in, they are quite large? and they screw in above the bell housing?

    Nope about the same size as a temp sender, it's over near the shift linkage.

    The big hole in the bell housing is just there to see the timing mark on the flywheel. I should have a cover in it, which can be a RWC requirement depending on how uptight the inspecticor is. I think I've got a spare or two

    I think all 5 speeds had the screw in kind. I'll see if I can find a pic.

    If your's doesn't you might be stuck with the old style switch.

    This is how mine looks.


    You can see the little sender just beside the selector housing. I reckon there's a square recess on you box in this area which might be for a switch.

    ohhh ok i see that i shall check mine out 2morrow...mine has a multiple point plug on the box and that lil dealy i think as well... i will find out what each pin is and give that a go if the micro switch doesn't work! thanks pete!

    HAPPINESSS!!!

    I NOW HAVE THE ENGINE RUNNING NICELY!

    SADNESS THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS CRACKED sounds like a tractor

    so 2moz i am again going to have to get under the car...and swap the exhaust

    AHHHHHHH i need to have the car done by monday morning! any one car to give me a hand this weekend? pleaseeeeee! (A-TEAM)
