Not a bad day to be outside so I replaced the wheels on the dolly.

Looks like someone who knows about MK1's has already made a few mods. Things like the chassis notch, welding all the nonessential holes in the firewall and raising the front strut towers are small things but make a big difference. The welding on those towers needs tidying up but that floor looks perfect.
When they did the towers did they keep the original chassis number on the tower or were the towers cut from a different car?
Checking in. Plans in place for suspension and paint yet homegirl, or are they still being decided?
Also - sweet jack! Has lifted a few swallowtail Mk1s in its time :P
Broooo! glad you're checking in :D
HAHA that Jack has saved me so many times...I need to buy you so much beer haha.
Paint is undecided as of yet! Suspension is probably going to end up being Airrex, Beth and I both want the car to be AS legal as possible, and more drivable than the beetle :P
PLANS discussed so far are (but not limited to):
-Full interior. No idea what seats or colours yet
-MS3X (because I know it, like it and have a spare loom). Will need an 034 trigger wheel kit for the 9a
-Full adjustable air suspension. Airrex have double bellow fronts and sleeve rears with bag height (threaded base) and dampening adjustment.
-16v 9a on 45mm ITBs with an 02a 5 speed.
-Small duckbill

Bought a MIG welder yesterday. Just need a gas bottle and I'm ready to start the bay :D
