    Talking my sunday of golf....

    hey guys...

    what kind of person gets up at 6:30 on sunday? me! why? thanks to loon, i had to put some carpet in the golf, get it all sitting right and recarpet my boot in the morning.... then at 10, off to the dnvk beaches cruise...


    then came home and got stuck into this little job...



    ...a SEAT passenger side seat base, converted to mk1 drivers side seat base...



    ...getting it ready for a non vw bucket...



    on it goes...

    the results.... well not as good as i'd hoped, since the new seat is a good 40mm higher than the original height, meaning it feels "funny". I dunno, quite drivable. maybe good for a shorter person (maybe you loon? )

    Thats 2 sets of Seats in two days isnt it? So much for Mollins getting the buckets.

    If its too high for you, you`d have to fold mike in half to get him in it. Probably would be good for me though.

    Nice use of the old Cordoba bases. Go the welding fury.

    haha... yes, being tall is only useful for cleaning out high shelves... and going to concerts...

    doesnt matter though.. as its currently sitting in my lounge room... plenty of headroom there... i might sneak it in my car once i have a pink slip ..
    TDI mk1 on the road!!

    I had this problerm once, which was remedied by chopping a section of the rear legs & then sleving the leg with metal tube which lets you play around with the height before welding togethere again
