    My New toy

Purchased this evening, pick it up on Saturday

1977 Mk1 GLS Auto, working Air-conditioning, 134,000kms, 1 elderly lady owner, garaged all its life, no rust, Original Condition. Interior a bit tatty but generally very good over all.

    What do you guys think?

Welcome to the forum, jhopk ... looks to be a tidy buy ... and a good base model for a project car.

Thanks for the comments guys... think i will be keeping it original for the time being. It really only needs a couple of things done to almost perfect condition.

If you have any ideas where the best pace to get spare parts in Melbourne or online that would be great.

man, that is clean! you have to understand, alot of us will have never seen and origional examplet that clean! It's very Impressive.

As for spare parts in melbourne, where abouts are you located? Volkspower in burwood are pricey, but generally have everything that you'd be after ( the smaller things atleast) and there are a few other work shops situated around the city that many people on here will recommend. Matt (golf loon) is pretty much the be all and end all in terms of parts, if he doesn't have it, or can't get it, it musn't exsist!

    i like volkswagens
