    My new ride

    Hey there guys,

So i recently bought a mk1, had three in the past and been collecting bits for years. Car has got bugger all rust and the body is pretty good, most of the rust is in the passenger door, which will be replaced, the rest will be cut out soon.

Not sure what the future plans are. Im just gonna test out a few different styles and get her running well for the moment. I might swap something in at a later stage but at the time i am just gonna swap in a rebuilt 8v with some flashy bits..

    The car in question.

    Plates On!!!

    Sexy Ass..

Swapped in my wheel, and golfball shift knob.

Did a lot of work cleaning it up today, pics to come...

    Cheers, Pedro

Looks tidy. Loving the pick-up of MK1 fans and build threads on this forum.

Goon on ya! Looking forward to seeing where it goes. That colour is sweet.

Thanks guys got it for 800 all up which is more than i would have wanted but hey you cant find these everywhere.

i too am very fond of this colour, bout to start repainting it, but i am having trouble getting the colour matched.. i have looked it up but cant distinguish between all the browns the mk1 came with..

*Edit - Found it the colour is CLR204 Saluki Brown Metallic

    Cheers, Pedro

With a bit of time, love and a bit of cha-ching$$$ it could be a very nice looking mk1!! (coilovers, rims)

    Yeah hopefully

New brakes next week and im bout to order some suspension, likely a cup kit (mcphersons) not coils, just agreed to buy dubdan's mk3 wheels, should have them on next week also... thinking, polishing the lips, and spraying the centre section black/grey...

What do people think of the H&R cup kits?
