    My new MK1 Golf 75/6

    Hi All
Well after 5 months of looking i finally found what i was looking for a total standard MK1 Swallowtail.
1 day later it is now home and safe with its new owner, i have been looking at some AP coil overs and wanted to know if anybody has had any experience with them??. Also if anybody could haelp me out with the brand and size offset e.t.c of the wheels on the white mk1 i have attached??

    Many thanks

    So it has began

Well 24 hr after owning my fist swallow tail the time had come!!

First was to check out if she was as solid has she looked, good news she is a sold as a brick.
Avo coil overs ordered and heaps of Gen. VW part ordered too, hopefully she will be a quick 3 month turn around and will be smoking around SYD for the summer.

Here are some pic from this Arvo.

nice one mate, looks very tidy...i wouldn't be in a rush to get rid of the auto imo...they are less common and make a nice cruiser, my cousin has one in the same colour and it's nice to get around in an auto everynow and then...that is unless you have big plans for engine/gearbox.

Short term ( this summer ) suspension, wheels, roof rack. Long term (winter ) TT engine (BAM 225 BHP) and 6 speed man, paint e.t.c.
Just ordered my coil overs and powerflex bushes from the UK so Hopefully will be here in 10-15 days, enough time to give the under body a good clean and real seal.

Any ideas were to get a radiator in the Sydney area with the header tank built in the side of it like the one already on there??

Also any info on the wheels on the white golf would be great!

looks like a nice clean original example. I agree with Michael if it is as mint as it looks in the photos and it's mechanically sorted it would be a nice one to just keep standard/a little lowering and drive it as it is. you don't see enough of them in their original states these days.
how many km's has it covered?
