    Ok I will run a new return line, I'm not sure how to do it though, the return line has to be restricted but how can this be achieved? I'll have a look at the tank next week aswell.
    I spoke to the guy who done my exhaust and he said that the whistling noise is in the flexi pipe because the car isn't tuned properly and its creating that noise.

    I just had a brass t-piece, and the outlet that I plumbed the return line to was a bit smaller ID than the other 2 outlets. I don't think the size of the restriction is super critical. If you have a T-piece that has the same ID on all outlets, you can just make your own restrictor by putting something into the return line that has a smaller ID hole in it. Like maybe cut off a short section of a bolt that is the right ID for the hose (8mm), and just drill a 3-4mm hole up the middle of that section of bolt. That should save you from potentially flooding the carby.

    Not quite sure about the whistling sound, its not the alternator belt, or the timing belt tensioner is it? If its directly proportional to engine revs check those 2 things. Also have you got the engine breather hose back on? You will get a bit of noise out of the cam cover hole as well, but probably not a whistling sound.

    Nothing major to update for the time being. Still being driven almost daily. Need to change the sump gasket soon as I've got a small leak there.
    I'm still looking for a tuner to have a look at the weber thought.
