    Talking finally

    well had a 4 day weekend last weekend
    did sweet stuff all got sick and didn't even go to work till friday
    nearly all better now so late this arvo finally started (had to work today)
    this is how far i got



    tommorow some welding eg the seam on back corner and rust holes
    and strip holes then under coat
    having to do it a bit at a time has to get me to work monday

    Good to see this is still happening. I reckon that blaster would be real handy.

    Good choice to weld the rear panel seam I think. I bogged mine (spur of the moment thing) and they cam out pretty good, I reckon it's a real nice little custom touch to add.

    here was my finished product. much cleaner. I'm proud of it.

    Smoothing that seem does look great, but bear in mind it does need welding up as the flex of the body seem will crack the filler fairly quickly under normal driving You really can't bog up much in a Mk1 (without extensive seem welding) as the shells are pretty light on welds from the factory - especially LSs. Just something to think about

    I'll let you know as soon as mine falls out in that case! I would ave preferred to weld it, but I don't have a welder, and it really was a spur of the moment thing, I didn't even think it, i just went for it!
