He is jealous!! This is a picture from last night showing how low it is - that is a 50c piece and the patches on the road are from the beetle not the golf!

They are a good investment well I think so anyway! It changes the whole look of the car.

The yellow is slightly more orange than the car but it doesnt clash too badly.

Well not much been happening with the golf...just loving having another mk1 to enjoy!

It had some issues like when I was driving it, it would all of a sudden lose acceleration and die. Sometimes it would start after 5 mins, sometimes after 4 hours or so Anyway thats all fixed...replaced carby, ignition coil, spark plugs and leads, vacuum advance unit, vacuum lines, fuel filter, cleared fuel lines and it still did it. Drained the fuel tank (which funnily enough the access cover is found on the side of the tank and not through the floorpan like most) and found the filter on the end of the line was clogged. Cleaned it up and it hasnt stopped since!

Got a letter today in the mail to say that it has to go in for a vehicle inspection as they have been informed that my car may not be in a safe or roadworthy condition due to lowered suspension, wheels/tyres not complying with regulations. I know it will not pass with coilovers in it and it doesnt have a heater box and a few other bits and pieces so I bought another mk1 to get all the pieces off! Hopefully she will pass
