Thanks guys, some progress is happening but it's slow! Will keep you updated. Noticed some awesome cabby builds on here so definately got me motivated!
Jeez dude, theres something definitely seedy about with those mechanics.. 4-5k is a crazy amount..
Is ridiculous..As for the other work required from the report I’ve estimated it at approximately $970. This includes left high beam light, new rocker cover gasket, steam clean engine, wheel alignment, reset rear muffler, locate/make bushes for gear selector, Rectify right front wheel guard hitting tyre.
As everyone recommends, either learn to do it yourself or get someone to come give you a hand. There are plenty of awesome folks your way.
Its the little things..

I've just been quoted under a grand for the following fitted.
the whole steering rack assembly. (Everything)
all new rubber bushes, front and rear. Engine mounts/arb etc
new rocker cover gasket
new suspension and mounts
no parts included.
Or you could do it yourself and save $1000.
Actually you'd be saving $900. The other $100 would be for beer for whoever on this forum lives near you and could help.
Cheers
Paul
I know,
not it sure if I'm confident enough to tackle it..
Send out a "Help me" note for anyone interested in free beer. Even if they just look over your shoulder as you do it.
The work isn't hard but you need to know what you're doing and who knows, pretty soon you could be helping other guys.
If you were down Braidwood way I'd give you a hand.
Whereabouts in Sydney are you?
Kellyville!
Thanks Sports racer!
