    Your very first post says you were quoted $800 to fix the rack. Now do you know why we all told you your mechanic is crap.

    Congrats on doing the work yourself and fixing all the things needed to get this great little car back on the road. Bet you're learning heaps and feeling much better about your mechanical abilities.

    Yeah for sure! Slowly getting my confidence up, but coming from almost zero so it's a process...

    Fixed the wiper squirter today.. It was just a disconnected hose. Who knows how much that would have cost me to get done!

    Side note: as one of the welch plugs is leaking slightly, I'm slowly losing water/coolant. Am I ok to just keep it topped up with tap water until it's fixed? I'm not really driving very far (5kms at a time max) between garages etc...
