    My 1978 Mk1 GLD...

    A couple weeks back i took a drive up the coast to have a look at a mk1 gld, it was for sale on here a few people went to look at it and no sale and has still got me stuffed why no one brought it .

    So i did what any mk1 dubber would do and snapped it up, since my mk1 16v has been off the road undergoing the restoration ive been getting alittle bored waiting around. Ive been wanting a quick fix of mk1, but finding a decent one here is no easy feat. Also didn't want to buy a rust bucket wanted something clean and easy, didn't think it would be this easy

    This is what it was and where it is now, still a few things need to be done to tidy her up to my satisfaction. I know pictures can hide alot but this thing has nothing to hide shes mint

    What i have done so far.
    * hottuning coilovers
    * rota jmag 16x7 wheels
    * new front/rear bumpers
    *changed grills
    *duckbill

    stay tuned

    Yes. Well I was one of the idiots who looked it over. Agree its very clean.
    It was too mint to park on the road.
    Glad its found a good home. Like what you've done with it.
    All it needs is some rust converter on the brake booster and a five speed

    Thanks for the comments . A few changes make a huge different on a mk1, forgot to mention everything works on the car ive never had wiper washers on a mk1 before hahaha

    She cruises along a 95kms had it up to 100kms couple times, don't want to push it to far moves along ok. I have my eye on a 5 speed atm so may drop it in seeing what it does. Can't spend to much on it got my other mk1 that consumes most of my funds, I wish my painter worked as fast as i do LOL.

    couple more
