    mk2 steelies revamp

    hey guys...

the mk2 gti wheels on my car are a bit patchy.... i wanna repaint them.

i've been considering some paint options....

    1) silver, just as they are

    2) hammer finish grey, for that "hide the scratches" look

    3) something else?

like to here what you think

    cheers

Metallic silver lip with metallic gold centre section. Thats my vote, have seen it done once and liked it.

i think polished would be sweet... but it'd take either a lot of effort, or some money.....

btw everyone, i priced genuine wheel trims for these wheels (the factory plastic ones for around the rim of the wheel...

    $93.... .EACH!

i laughed... the sales guy laughed.... i laughed some more, and said good bye.

i have a set of these wheels trims, in bad nick. they were all whole, intil the hail came and broke one (figure out the physics of that one will ya?!)

I intend to do the ones on my Mk III in a bright silver with perhaps black centre cap.

They will be bead blasted first.
