Question Mk2 Dash Install into Mk1 + Need PARTS

    Hey Guys

Just wondering if you know how to get a mk2 dash to fit properly into mk1. I know its been on here before just can't find the thread.. I am looking to buy a fuel injection or mechanical fuel system, maifolds computer loom etc.. for my audi 80 motor or (8v) 1997cc block. Its NA at present and is 117kw (dyno tested 12th october 2006 - Crossley Street & Racing Brisbane) at the front wheels running high octane, twin down draft 41mm webber, extractors, light weight pulley's, oil cooler etc.. its coming along. What i am also wanting is if any one has plans for a CAMS approved roll cage for a mk1 (full cage).. I am also chasing mk2 big bumpers front and rear? GTI centre side strips (both sides), - I am prepared to swap my gti lights for a single modern front grill.

Um well the list goes on and on but for now that should do it..oh yea i need a TURBO set up any info on doing one, plans FAQ's the works.

Thanks guys and Thanks to Rowan_Bris who helped me out with some GTI flares, and a mk2 dash awesome.

You need to cut 5mm off the Mk2 dash in a straight line along the leading edge.

Basically you are turning the curve into a straighter edge along the middle 2 thirds of the distance. About a couple of inches outside the two bolts is the extreme edges of the cut.

Then drill 2 holes in your Mk1 and fit the bolts through the bulkhead.

Thats it, squash the sides in so it fits and leave the doors shut for a couple of days to mould to shape.

Good luck hooking up the blower and heater tubes
