According to my old rego stickers, my 76 swallowtail was listed as 760kg and my 79 was 780kg. That would be empty weight of course both were 3 doors.
    76 MkI 3 door - daily drive/project - 1.8 5speed
    76 MkI 3 door swallowtail - 16v track car
76 MkI 3 door "long term" project

full cage can weight a bit, not to mention the other parts required to stiffen the car up suspension etc.

EDIT: Should add that would be complete dry weight, no fluids etc.

Hey mate, I think about it regularly. Even as a road car would be fun.
I am going through a seperation at the moment and the ex wants half the value of him. Gunters not worth much without a motor and box eh?
I have a rebuilt KR here less head and a dodgy 5 speed that I bought years ago for top dollar.
    It might happen one day........
Cheers and have a great 2008
