Are Mk1 tail lights a bitch to get off?

Got some red/clears (US spec tails) off my mate and contemplating whether to put them on.

If they have never been taken of i assume the rubber seal will be rooted.

Whats the best way around this?

once you unbolt them they should pretty much pop straight out, without a problem..... have you tried yet?

nah not yet but what happens if the rubber seal is rooted.

They should shove out. Give the studs a knock with a hammer. Don't go to knock them right out in one go though, you might twist it and break it. Give them a tap and go round the lot.
