Why are you working on a 1.6 when a 1.8 perks up a Golf really well and they are cheap?

Low kms and Mechanically in good nick. Gives me a chance to enjoy driving the car around until i get a proper engine ready for her

So this is the shround that sits on mk3 oil pickups. What is it here for and is it worth keeping??

You definitely want to keep that - its a baffle so that your oil doesn't slosh away from your pickup during cornering. Also helps prevent windage
