Dunno if 13 would fit over the mk3 calipers all round

Nice work - I managed a best of 1:45.XX with my GTI last year with the 2E engine, but I was having over heating issues, racing in summer didn't help either. Good to see it get out there

Yeah the weather was perfect, so crisp and fresh, the motor loved it haha
I'd like to get in the 1:4x.xx with a rear sway bar and decent tyres. Cheers for the word bruh MK1 RagtopMK1 Ragtop

I ran 205/55 on a 14x6 wheel on the cabby and it was sweet man. Although you could feel a tad of tyre wall flex in extreme cornering, even though the tyres were semi's.

Id still rate 14s though, look very period correct!
    - Orange Golf mk1 LS, 1.8 5speed, 32/36 - sold
    - Golf mk1 Swallowtail rebuild, completely stripped
    - Brown U.S import 81 cabby

Good question lol, I think AD050? Super grippy tyre once warmed up.

Wild Garrett appears. Uses boost, it's super effective.

I've just read the whole thread from stat to finish. Makes good reading how it's progressed from a standard 1.6 with rust to what you have today. Well done.

I couldn't see anything about a rear sway bar, did you ever get round to fitting one?

That and a lower strut brace make a big difference to how well you go round corners.

    Cheers

    Paul
