Next to come is finish the brakelines/fit calipers and retrim seats and interior with heated seats does anyone have any insight on headrestless seats? What mk1s came out with them? I know on my haynes manual the mk1 on the cover has no headrests and it looks sooo good!

They might be compulsory for rego. Safety feature so you don't break your neck if you get rear-ended.

I actually think the car gets rego to the ADR of the build year so no headrests unless they were on that specific year

Ah sorry that's what I meant. If there are holes for a headrest there, the headrest must also be present. But if you make it look like there were never any headrests to begin with....
