Nope, It's an Aussie delivered '79 GLD. It had a petrol conversion already when I got it. The GTI badges came with it too .

Umm, What cable? The hose? There's a casting on the side of the No.4 runner to connect the booster vacuum hose to. Works fine for me.

Perhaps you mean the clutch cable? I'm using a diesel one which turns 90° at the firewall.

Next outing will probably be Phillip Island in February. I'll let everyone know when I'm headed out again.

    Cheers,

    Brake linkage bar.

Ok Kid, I suggest you use the SEARCH feature on here and other websites and learn things that knowledgeable people have posted before writing anything else.

Other sites that are good if you use search and speak english

Vortex.com you want archieved facts not regional nonsense or idle chatter

    ClubGTI.co.uk

    Have fun.

No harshness intended, but bear in mind you were telling Pete what he should do with the car rather than asking why he'd done it... The first one suggests knowledge, the other might have implied that you actually wanted to learn something

Good to see you having a go, but perhaps lay off the advice side of things for a few years At the end of the day, though, we all have lots to learn.

Did you look at the picture?

It's pretty clear that the linkage bar is there and in the original position.

There's plenty more pictures over on my wreck to race thread which I've already pointed to. There's not much I haven't written about the car, It's all there in black and white complete with colour pictures.

    Here it is again.
