I was thinking that this wasn't to far off after being told about it somewhat along time ago.

Alway's had a soft spot for the serie's 1 Mk1's with the tarten interior.

I said to myself, if an early mk1 gti (steel bar version) came up in the same condition as my campaign (pre injury!), I'd be prepared to straight swap for it.

I'll be keeping an eye out for it. You should get it down here for the DOVW.

What size are the wheels that were on your Mk1 GTI and if 14" do you still have them. I am looking for mags for the rally car and they look if they might do the job especially if they are JJ

Update pic for today.



Scored a brand new old stock front bar for it still in the wrapping.

The original wheels were 13 x 5. It was 1980 for gods sake.

The rims it has now are 13x6 bbs and I remember them being on the cars back in the day. They were like a dealer option. They have 205 rubber on and look phat.

Headlining this week, then windscreen and then interior.

Do you have the old template. My wife makes mine, from proper material, any patter enc that you like. Shes good at em, but I pay dearly........
