Mk1 Golf - Rear glass dimensions

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if someone would be so kind as to measure the tailgate glass in their Mk1? Both the height and width at the bottom and top of the glass - From what I can tell from pictures it looks to tapper in at the top of the glass. Also if the glass is curved at all? Looks flat like as a plank from pictures.

Basically I'm trying to find some venetians for my Mk3 and all I can find is venetians for a Mk1 so I'm wondering if I can slightly modify a pair to suit.

width at top is about 905mm
width at bottom is about 1000mm
height is about 550mm

This is from the edge of the rubber, so as much of the glass as you can actually see. A bit more inserts into the rubber obviously. Glass is completely flat.

I'm going to have a look at it tomorrow. I think the glass curvature in the Mk3 may be a problem
