Looking good Mart, with regards to the tank vents i would expect to see 3 lines maybe, vent, feed, return but that is a guess.

First of all cleaned it with degreaser, ideally I would have liked to use a pressure washer but I had to do it with an open hose pipe as I was in the garage.
Then scrapped off what I could with a scrapper. I then attacked it with one of those round wire brush attachments for the angle grinder. You can buy them at Bunning’s..

It takes a long time though, I’m planning on cleaning the surface with prepsol and scuff with 80 grit prior to epoxy
Quick update.
Front end in etch and high build primer. I didn’t fancy using the 2K Epoxy due to the chemicals.
So far really pleased with the results.
I purposely left it un-sanded, I’ll sand smooth prior to the 2nd coat of build primer. I just wanted to get the filler into the low spots directly onto the steel rather than the etch

Great work!
Inspiring work Mart! Would love to have your dedication and skill to tackle my project
Got any more info on the roof reskin that you did? It's a job that I may have to tackle in the near future.
Looking forward to more updates![]()
