Hey everyone,
Swapping out my points dizzy on my '78 1.6L MK1 Golf as its giving me grief and wanted to know if this MK2 dizzy would be a direct bolt in. VW GOLF JETTA MK2 1.6 1.8 GTI 8V DISTRIBUTOR + ROTOR ARM CAP 027905205S A449 | eBay
I also know you need to run an ICM for the timing. But if you have an MSD 6AL cant you bypass the ICM since the ignition box has a wire for the dizzy signal?
Cheers
John

Why do you need a new distributor?
If the old one is ok you just need a conversion kit to replace the rotor.
