There are some awesome 4 door show cars around but definitely if you already have a 205 you should get something a little different.

Good to see you posting about a Mk1 Mark, I haven't seen you or your Pug for a while. I remember you were wanting a Mk1 before the Pug but couldn't find a reasonable one. If you put the same amount of work into a Mk1 it's bound to be a special thing.

It's Matt with the black Mk4 BTW.

People who claim 4 doors are the bomb only have that opinion because they have a 4 door.. If they could.. They'd have a two door. But hey any mk1 is better than no mk1!

You only say that because you have a 2 door.

4 doors are more proportionate.. And you don't have to put folding seats in them.

I'm running it 2 seater now anyway

But my reason for having a Mk1 is not for practicality.. its for looks.. and In my opinion, 2 doors look far better.. And if you look up nice mk1's on vortex or demon VW etc.. most of them are 2 door - even though they are harder to find.. Its cause they are cooler!

You've been into VWs for 5 minutes and you think you are an expert. Quite amusing.

At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. I stuck with my 4 door way back when because everyone wanted to do up a 2 door. It's just trends.. Trends change. Better off doing your own thing. And if your own thing is a 4 door, i say have at it and enjoy it. Better to have a mint 4 door than a rusty 2 door after all.
