    mk1 diesel temp problems

Have had a few issues with the mk1, First one is when the engine is under a fairly big load it seems to raise the temp up to half and just over on the gauge. Is this normal for the diesel? when running on the flats its fine and runs at just over quarter on the temp gauge.

I have flushed the cooling system, changed the oil and all the filters.

    Cheers in advance.

my mk1 1600 petrol always ran over half and Jarred's diesel sits on half or above.

dont worry about it bro, its normal

yeah mate that is fairly normal, the only way to have it run at a lower temp is to buy a low temp thermo fan switch which will keep it at about 1/4. I have one of these on my rally car and it works mint. 40 deg day and full throttle and it was at 1/3 all day

Yeah if it sits under half when cruising she's right.
