    Mk1 convertible roof

Can anyone tell me where and how much a Convertible roof is to buy and or have fitted?

The location of the company would be good as well.

I am on the lookout to buy a MK1 convertible but quite a few seem to have a cracked or ripped roof so will need replacement.

I fitted one to a MK1 in the UK and dont fancy doing it myself again so a company to fit would be an advantage.

I am in Adelaide but looking at interstate cars so could get roof done before it comes back here.

Cheers for as much info as you can give.

Got mine from carhoods UK Audi, BMW and Mazda soft tops | Leather Car Interiors | Carhoods Direct

Fitted it ourselves, found it easy to do if you have all the tools needed and some nounce to work it out.

Instructions were very basic, but the links on Convertible Top will get you rocking along ok.

    good luck
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,

Shipping was negligble as it came sea freight with a ton of other stuff.

Fitting instructions were basic as I mentioned above, hence the link. There are 2 different sets of instructions on that web site. look lower left side .

    cabrio roof for mk1

    Hi,
I got a vinyl roof on ebay from the US delivered to my door for $274 about 1 year ago and I had it fitted by Apogee (from Sydney - Wetherill Park) for $300. I paid him $350 as I felt guilty when he described the b@stard of a job it was to change these roofs.
I also recently purchased a new canvas roof, all cables and new headliner from the US on ebay again and it cost me around $610 delivered to my door. I'll wait for the vinyl roof to die on me before I change it but I can't wait to see the canvas roof and new headliner on.

I need to get my roof repaired...

Before I bought it, some lovely person decided to plunge their kitchen knife into it, not once, not twice, but about eight times...
Thankfully they didn't pull the knife...
The worst part is, the roof was only 2 months old...

Needless to say, it now leaks in the rain...
