MK1 Chrome waist trims etc - Crazy Quiffs?

Sent them an email early last week regarding postage on their chrome side trims and have heard nothing back.

Anyone bought from them before? they reliable? what was the postage like?

Any other places to get the nice thing chrome side trims?

Got a set of chrome grill trims for my mk1 a couple months back. Nice guy to deal with. Check which company they are sending it through, If it is SBSworldwide ask for another company. Their customs broker in Australia is Conner Anderson International who refused to forward the package onto me without me paying and extra $66 (keep in mind the parts plus shipping cost $90ish) on top.

I agree they can be a pain to deal with in terms of shipping, but last time my parcel came with Royal Mail and it was fine.

I am looking to get some bits from there as well if you are interested in combining a consignment with me.

I wanted some parts for my Mk1 cabriolet, this is what they quoted me, I said forget it! But I am also interested, especially as I think they are the only people selling adaptors to make the rear sash seatbelts into lap/sash.

Ok, so I am on the hunt for these chrome waist trims from a source other than Quiffs, using a European contact.

I think they will end up between $120 and $150 per set (3 door, 5 door is a little more) but the more we get in on the purchase the idea is the cheaper that it will be. Considering it is £80 for these shipped within the UK, I think this is pretty decent value.

Is anyone else interested?

I'd hope I can post them within Australia for the price quoted of $150. Collecting would save you 10-15 buck or so.
