The GTI one's are stonger than the small duckbill's!
You can also repair the GTI mounting's if broken with metal plates & pop rivet's
They will actually bend & split the metal around the hole before breaking. Well that's in my case. Depend's on what you hit I suppose!
I've only ever replaced one GTI style & before that, I replaced 4 smaller ones due too wondering bunny's etc.
The M8 refer's to that thickness of the bolt thread. 8mm.
I think from memory, I used 5 x Flanged headed M8(8mm thick & 1.25 pitch thread) x 25mm long bolt's with matching locknuts & 5 x fat panel washers (1 on every bolt/nut set).
