Its not hard to put a mk2 spoiler on. The major advantage is that it is flexible! I cut out the dummy brake sections and ran some pieces to direct air towards the front brakes. You do have to drill some extra holes, especially on the rear trailing edges. I agree, it does look a little bit "wonky" in some shots but it also copped a bit of a hard time. On my old mk2 the outer corners used to touch the road on very hard cornering! Just guessing the hieght would be around 90/100 m/m deep. I mounted it slighty higher than the original. Whats the best way to mount them into the standard holes i have in the front?

5 x M8 bolt's, 10 x panel washers & 5 x M8 locknut's. Strong as!

I'm suprise those things don't get ripped off with the amount of head on air flow...........best looking one regardless.

The GTI one's are stonger than the small duckbill's!
You can also repair the GTI mounting's if broken with metal plates & pop rivet's

They will actually bend & split the metal around the hole before breaking. Well that's in my case. Depend's on what you hit I suppose!
I've only ever replaced one GTI style & before that, I replaced 4 smaller ones due too wondering bunny's etc.

The M8 refer's to that thickness of the bolt thread. 8mm.
I think from memory, I used 5 x Flanged headed M8(8mm thick & 1.25 pitch thread) x 25mm long bolt's with matching locknuts & 5 x fat panel washers (1 on every bolt/nut set).

i have heard i should use plastic bolts as the dam needs to flex.

Hey mate, I meant you shouldn't use steel screws with those plastic gromets. But steel bolts with steel washers are fine.
