Hi everyone,

Got a couple of issues with the mk1 cabriolet was wandering whether anyone might be able to give me some advice;

1: (and probably a fairly simple fix), I keep hearing an arc'ing / crackling sound from the fuse box. I've check all the fuses and they all fine so guessing it must be a bad relay switch. What's the best way to test which one that has gone bad?

2: Leaking fuel tank: I started to notice a strong smell of petrol around the back of the car so I took a look yesterday and could see about a drip p/second dripping down from the top at the middle of the fuel tank. however the drip stops after the engines off for a few mins. Initially I thought it was probably the fuel tank leaking from a seam at the top but now I'm thinking it might be a bad connection at the fuel pump or something similar. Can anyone advise where to look?

3: If the fuel tank has to come off then I'm thinking: great opportunity to give me an excuse to convert the rear drums brakes to disks. I'm looking at mk2 16v set up, with Rocco hand brake cables. Any advice on this set up? I'll probably pick most the parts I need up in UK next month and ship them over unless someone out there's got what I need for sale?
