Welcome Swiss, Nice little beastie you scored- not completely suited to -5 degree Canbrrrrrrrr mornings though.
See you at CVWC for Friday night drinks?? (when the master returns in August of course)

Hey guys,
Last night I became the proud new owner of a 1985 mk1 cabrio here in Canberra. The car has been local for most of its life and is very clean and tidy (and rust free!). I've attached a couple of pics.
I've got a question though.. how long is this beastie meant to take to warm up? Driving to work this chilly morning I had to continuously maintain some choke to stop it from stalling (about 10mins drive). I'm thinking I will have to let it sit for a good few minutes before driving to give it a chance to warm itself up? By the end of the drive, the gauge was just on the upper limit of the 'low' section.
Cheers!

Hey Dave,
The car is a UK import i believe.. its still a 1.6 but goes great! I haven't quite figured out yet everything about it.. conveniently my girlfriend's car died this morning so I've been taxiing her about all day (after she's spent 2 months doing the same for me!).
