MK1 Cabby Wheels for RWC (VIC)

Hi all, I posted this in parts wanted but thought it might be worth putting the word out here too. Just acquired a 1993 MK1 cabby, looks pretty good for rwc except the wide rims are a no go. I need a set of wheels and tires for RWC purposes only./ Don't really wanna blow the bank as they will end up in the shed anyway.

    Any leads?

    Thanks again!

You can run any 4x100 wheel option bud, surely someone in the family drives a Honda jazz, Mitsubishi lancer, any Honda for that matter, km 3/2, mx5 miata, etc etc etc. so many options.

    - Golf mk1 Swallowtail rebuild, completely stripped

Hi all, thanks for the speedy replies!!! I dunno what the wheels are - posted a pic below. Mechanic reckon too wide, and they have narrow tires on them, with rims poking out beyond the tire. Anyhow, they look great and I'll put them back on after the roadworthy - just gotta get a temporary fix for now. I'm located in Melbourne.

Nope- no one in my family drives a small car. I've got a bunch of XF falcon wheels hanging around in the backyard though if anyone wants to swap hahahahaha

That is a really sweet ride, just right for you and all the girls to go cruising, LA style. And yes, you have to put the wheels back on after rego.

C'mon George, you're in Melbourne, help the lady out with some temp wheels.

    Cheers

    Paul

Thanks Paul! Yeah the wheels really make it that touch sweeter. A perfect ride! Couldn't believe when my mechanic said they were a no go.

Ok all - thanks for your help, thought I'd let you know that some kind MK1 owning soul offered to trade wheels with me for a lil' while. First forum win for me! thanks everyone who helped.

I think the other guy has the win, even if it's only for a short time. He gets to run around with your wheels which are easily my favorite wheel to suit a MK1.

Anytime you want to swap (permanently) for something different let me know.
