yeah it would be pretty sweet to hit the pavement in a mk1. after seeing what dom has paid for a good airbag setup, to see what these are worth, u would only guess they are cheap and nasty though!
Hey fellas, i know some of you have been following this thread http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4642959

Isnt that what most Mk1's are though ?![]()
<space for rent>
These actually look like a decent bit of kit. don't expect it to be that cheap though.
You need a coilover body (or maybe shortened shock) to mount the bag body onto.
Including the price of the struts, these aren't nessecarily a 'bargain' as it were.
I'd be happy buying from him though (if I was in the market for some bags) cause he's got great customer service & seems to be very switched on, and very committed to his products.
They would nessecarily be illegal, you could probably get a set up including these bags engineered for about as much as it would be with any other.
I would buy a generic kits from a local distributor, but less bags, buy the bags from him (and then struts aswell, or buy complete struts from bagyard or masontech) and then go from there.
Either way, expect it to set you back about 4-5grand, doing it yourself too.
also can't wait to see what he comes up with for the rear.
you can pick up second hand tanks and compressors too.
or i have 2 nitrogen bottles in the garage.... lol
Like anything i expect you get what you pay for ,mach1 on air hell yeah
he's using quality stuff from the looks of it.
all you get for the price of the fronts is bags and some custom doobies to bolt it straight to your coilovers...
the qualiy of the rest of the system is up to you, and how much you're willing to spend.
i dont care what anyone says, air ride is an expensive mod, and yes... be expected to pay 4-5g's straight up, i have a pretty basic kit with a few upgrades to make it how i want it, but in the long run it saved me money
if you want a mk1 kit, be prepared to pay over 1k in shipping to bring everything over
best bet would be to buy the bags already done (saves you time, exsessive work and comes with warranties ect) but source a management kit locally
plus after looking at the prices of the front struts, they are only $200usd cheaper.......... but i believe they are to be some quality products
