you've found the dark side xcedricx!!!!
remember me??
thanks for the replys everyone!
yeah ive been looking into gas research for a while now, it seeams they havnt done much outside aussie cars and V8's but im going to give there installer in QLD a ring as well as some others on thursday to see whats the go.
what would be recomended - the 1.8 ADZ for higher reving or the 2E for more tourque?
im sure the prices i got quoted would of included the fuel pumps for the lpg (hopefully) so i guess that would be a negated cost as well as having to wire up the EFI system which will make the conversion much easyer
i'd rather NA as well as im not much of a turbo guy it is an exciting idea but in a (hopefully completley striped/light weight) sub 800kg FF road car im sure an 86kw engine is more than enough
i guess the whole idea/aim of this car for me is, light weight, classic/retro, good handling road car thats cheep to run. rather than having my drift cars and a boring daily car like i used to have (daewoo nubira )
taken from gas research - not the prettiest set up but cool none the less
you've found the dark side xcedricx!!!!
remember me??
1976 Golf LS 4 Door Retro Style
ill start a ride thread, but where do they go
yeah, FF and euro is the dark side?
Sorry to drag this up from the depths, has anyone done anymore on LPG conversions?
I am in NZ but hoping to move to Sydney or Wollongong in the New Year, will be bringing my LPG converted Range Rover hopefully but also want a little run around/toy.
My thoughts were along the lines of a Mk2 with a 2l 8v engine running a turbo and suck through LPG system, or could go boost referenced I suppose. Hopefully would be great on economy run/commute and still be able to handle some proper boost with LPG's octane rating being high, hence some fun when you feel like it.
