The smallest mk1 I have ever owned...

Today I was dragged through some markets by the gf and as usual I had no enthusiasm for it except for the stalls that sold miscellaneous old tools and stuff. Anyway I happened to spot this so I grabbed it. I wonder if its rare at all?

How fat does it look here. Like a full drag golf!

I got the exact same matchbox car given to me by my old man back when I was a tod. Still got it somewhere I think, passed it on to my son. Your missing the surf boards on the roof racks though.

Damn, I was wondering what was originally on the roof. The car looks like it has been well-used. It has the typical bent axles from some kid pushing down on it with all his weight. Looks good though, makes it look really lowered and gives it mega negative camber .

We grow up and continue to do the same thing to our full-size cars, just costs heaps more

Its the same size as normal matchbox cars. By the sounds of it it isn't very rare, pretty cool find though. I love that shade of green too. I wonder if matchbox made GTI ones?
