    took of my front bumper today !! so i could start stripping the paint off , the bumpers are in pretty good nick and very straight , what i need is a solution to polish the metal back ? any thing out there that would do the job ?

    cheers preen !! been 8 years since my last mk1 ls , and i know where its at hahaha so thats going to be my doner car , but other than that having driven mk2 gti and vr6 , which are all good in there different ways , i just thinkin it comes down to my era and the ease of working on a car with out too much plastic and electronics ..... but in time there will be an r32 , but for now im diggen this

    I am liking it Shane. I still think you should try to get that VR6 out of your friends passat!

    PS: I booked the truck, ended up being $98. Still pretty good. It was $56 for 1 wheel or 98 for 4?!

    bumper paint

    Looking at the pic of your bumper, there is BA surface prep for that paint, try using paint stripper to get the stuff of with...should lift that easy..

    Be wrecking a 79 4 door in a short while if your needing any bits... + have some unique to 76 parts here also....

    If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    hahaaha damn me mates were tellin me to hang on to them , but hey will keep ma word mate . just have to hang for the right time for me now as you got yours and i got nufin , patience is all i need and then it comes with vw ....

    roccodingo !! your on my a list haha , and the time is near mate ...going to have tp get them engine mounts and a new 4 speed trans , thats about it , and suspension but its not on the high list , drive to conditions they say , and i wil in this

    looks good mate
    really diggn the wheels fitt them up and throw some coilovers at it or chop the springs a coil each allround. the bumper should clean up nice.
