You can see where the guard fits up against the body at the base of the A pillar in this pic, The exterior paint treatment of the bodyshell is very poor along here as well allowing trapped moisture and dirt to effectively sit and rot the sheetmetal out .

Using the wheel arch liners is a great way to reduce the amount of crud that gets thrown up there, The cabrio had almost no rot there at all, only a small amount of light surface rust .

    from cabrio thread..

Thanks for your message, it only leaks when it rains for a while, a light shower and no problems. Heater core should be ok

Hopefully it's this easy to repair.

    Hi Michael

I always check to make sure the rain tray is free from debris so the water can get away

    Hi

    - I don't have an antenna yet
    - Still has original windscreen and seal - could be this as the glovebax gets wet a bit also and seee drips coming from the air hose behind the glovebox

I'll check the grommets where the wiring harness goes into the engine bay

    Thanks

Sounds exactly the same as mine.

    Water comes in here

It runs from there down this hole

    down here

And then onto the passenger floor

It drips on to the glove box and the vent hose like you said so looks like its your seal too. Im going to try and seal mine tomorrow
