Lynx M150 Manifold / Weber DCOE Jetting?

Hi All,
I'm hoping someone has information on the best DCOE and jetting to use with an M150 manifold?
I'm running a 1600 Mk1 motor, mild cam, extractors and a 2 1/4 inch exhaust.
I've got a DCOE 40, I think with 28 chokes.
Previously (22 years ago) I ran a 45DCOE, but I don't recall the choke size.
Google is surprisingly silent on the issue of the best arrangement, so hopefully someone has some knowledge of the topic?
I'm not averse to ditching the 40 for a 45, or enlarging the chokes on the 40; I'm just hoping to get to a reasonable starting point to begin the tune.

Your 28mm chokes will limit your power output greatly with your setup i would swap them for 34mm chokes as a starting point and jet them accordingly. No need to go to the 45mm DCOE unless your planning on a lot more modifications.
I jetted a 1.8 with the same manifold and 40 DCOE a long time ago and although i cant remember the jet sizes i do recall the inlet manifold runner for #4 cylinder was a lot longer and as such had a larger volume than the others. Because #1 and #4 cylinders feed from the same throat to enable #4 cylinder not to run lean the jet sizes were increased causing #1 cylinder to run a little rich causing the spark plug to foul. Twin 40mm DCOE are a great option. Cheers Marty

Bang on regarding the 1-4 intake lengths Marty! I'd hunt down a double manifold, except I've got my heart set on straight LPG with a BLOS propane carb and SLK blower setup as the final aim. The DCOE is a stepping stone, because the single stock carb is pretty uninspiring... Thanks for the tip re the chokes. I'll open the carb up and see if I reckon I can open them up on a mill. If not, ebay I guess.

Sounds like a interesting setup you have in mind with the LPG and blower. Be sure to post up some pics.

I have machined out chokes before and your best option is on the lathe because they are actually tapered through the bore, I cant remember the angle of the taper but that is easily measured. The taper is critical to create a suction through the venturi.

As an addendum, I bought some new chokeson the ebay from "carb deals". They're aftermarket, cheaper than the original items, and polished! Quality appears to be much nicer than the genuine item...
