Lofty, i had my rear springs compressed, and my frnt springs cut.
I didnt go a massive cut, just cut one coil off each. It looked a tad better but still handled like sh*t. Even worse now.
You can also feel every bump and the car jumps alot and rubs alot. If it was a weekend car, yeah, but if its a daily, nah dont cut them.

Im about to order some Coilies and see how they go

don't cut em man.. especially when coilovers are as little as $750 for all four these days. I am not a pompous dude or whatever i just think your car will handle like s*** and as G banger said, it will feel awful and just be crap in general.. even if you did cut them.. i would need a wheel alinment.. and wheel allinment on a chop job is a waste of money IMO.

    get hottuning coilovers

wish I could get coils for my B1... Cutting is my only option... Managed to get Bilsteins $30 more than Monroe for the gas cartridges, so happy there...

I wonder if Mk1 Springs from the strut towers will fit in B1?
    Too many dubs to mention....

A good spring shop can reset your springs to any height without cutting them.

No matter what, if you car is riding on bump stops all the time, the ride is going to be shieet!

Looking 'cool' is rarely comfortable! or handles good

That really depends on what your definition of "cool" is. I've driven plenty of "cool" cars that handle well and ride well.

cheap coils are alot safer to slam your car then cut springs, i know where id put my money.

Also whats to say you cant jack up the car for daily duties and slam it for a weekend cruise/show ect.
