    Hi fellow dubbers.

As you may or may not know I've decided that the golf is going on the road. I went to see Boris at volkscare yesterday for a roadworthy and it needs quite a few little things.

Anyway, to the point. Does anyone have a set of stockies with roadworthy tyres I could possibly borrow or perhaps buy? I really only need them for the next couple of weeks. Also, does anyone have a left hand side taillight lenses seeings that mine is cracked?

If either of these issues can be addressed it would be a huge help!

    Cheers

For anyone wondering about where to take your car to get work done, look no further. Boris down at Volkscare is your man! The guy is a legend and charged me nothing for labour.

Now to start this build thread, even though I've already done 6 months work on the car with no photos

And congrats on getting rego. With the old Golfs it can be a lot of hard work getting there.

    Cheers

So after cruising around all weekend and having a dandy old time we've encountered our first little problem.

It seems my ignition switch has died, or at least temporarily stopped working, resulting in the starter circuit being incomplete. I can still start the car by jumping the starter motor with a screw driver. I was just wondering how everyone else's is wired, because it appears the circuit goes straight through the switch, probably beyond its amp limit. Is it work putting a relay in so the switch doesn't experience such high currents? Or should I just replace it and be done with it? What is the best option? Let me have it
