    It's a factory head for the block. No modification required. It's a shame how rare they are in Australia, but it does give me some ner ner value haha
    just curious, what model car does that head come from?

    It's a 99 seat cordoba engine. They did come in mk3 golfs also, but never in Australia. Code is AFT

    I picked the whole lot up from Jolly's in dandenong one day when they had the Cordoba there. It was luck really. Cost me just shy of 300 including flywheel, clutch, intake manifold and distributor. Just keep an eye on their website for a Seat, and hopefully the right one shows up. They're also a good source for an ADZ, which is a great motor to have in a mk1

    As far as I know, this engine has never been put into a mk1. Although I would love to be proven wrong haha

    I too have one of these motors.

    Pretty sure Loon has fitted a few to Mk1's and Mk2's

    So her she is ready for install
    Serpentine belt conversion (thanks dado for the required bits). Running a slightly larger alternator pulley from a mk4 to help keep them revs upA little pickle
    Nice spot for the dip stick. Not to mention the twin dellorto 40 dhla feeding this babe!
    Homemade throttle linkage (waiting for cable to be installed)
    One tight fitting distributor with literally zero clearance! (Thanks Peter)
    And my solution as to where to mount the coil (thanks Elton) A little pickle

    Just waiting on flange seals before I bolt her to the mk2 gti box and then there is only plumbing and wiring to tackle! Here comes some exciting weeks ahead

    Very nice Jordan, just a little tip the coil and yes it does look awesome how it's positioned ATM but it will perform at its best when not heat soaked. Sorry dude just my 2c worth.
