    Just don't do it in the middle of winter - would take ages for the rubber to adjust to it's new shape.

    It's time I let you in on a secret of mine. My little bunny is getting a new heart some time in the next couple of months. I stumbled upon a crossflow, external water pump block know as an AFT out of a 99 Cordoba late last year, and have slowly been putting parts together to get this thing ready. I'm almost ready for the big day, so I thought you should all informed of the journey so far.A little dirty. Time for a bathAnd a home botch port jobPartner her with a 280 hydro Cat Cam, and some Autotech HD valve springsAdd on a Rowland manifold (home painted)ExtractorsJust time to sort out the pair of Dellorto DHLA 40s going on it.Still have to organize distributor and associated ignition, alternator to fit under the carbs, offset radiator and a couple of other bits and bobs before the conversion can go ahead.

    This is an exciting time for my bunny...

    Does all the water and oil galleries line up from the head to block?

    What head gasket you going to use?

    Geeez! Loving how different this is! Wasn't aware of any crossflow 8v engines.

    It's a 1.6 with the 81mm bore that all the 1.8s came with. So it's very simple to stroke out. I'm leaving it as a 1.6 however, due to short stroke, it will love to rev

    It's a factory head for the block. No modification required. It's a shame how rare they are in Australia, but it does give me some ner ner value haha
