There should already be a relay in the starter motor, otherwise you would be putting all the cranking voltage through your ignition switch.

Replace the switch and take some pictures of the car.

    Cheers

Makes sense. Its just fishy because it's the second ignition switch that has up and died on me... I'll replace it and try to fix up the wiring and we'll see if it solves the problem. Pics will be taken and uploaded soon

Might not be the ignition switch that's causing the problem, it's just the weakest link.

Clean the cable that goes from the starter to the battery and make sure it has a good contact at both ends. A little bit of vaseline helps keep it clean. Also check to ground cable from the battery to the body and the one between the body and the engine - make sure they all have clean contacts with the body.

Yeah wheels are being organized currently. I'm buying a set of 15x7s next week and have my brother's old 14x8s in my garage at home. Still deciding which are going to look better but time will tell

Those wheels are awesome. What are they called and where did you get them from?

They're called exip and were originally off e30s from what I've been led to believe. Bought them from a guy in Sydney who was trying to fit them to his datsun but didn't know the stud pattern
