Later model rear seats into a 76'???

Has anyone had experience putting the later model latch style rear seats into a 76 car?
as far as I'm aware all the early 76 rear seats had the latches on the strut towers and pin on the seat like so



whereas the 77's onward had the pins on the chassis and latches on the seat like this



I'm guessing to make them fit all that's needed is to thread in the pins on either side of the chassis but can anyone confirm that these points on the chassis are the same distance apart on the later models? or does anyone have a photo of this area on a later model chassis that i can compare with mine?

yeah mate mine is the later model 77 car with the pins, come have a look and bring the tape measure any time.
