They've both got 4 wheels, other than that everything is different. Yours has straight lines, great stance and looks great.

But I must say, I'm already jealous of where you're at Mik.
Due to the shape of the rear guards, when you have a level Mk1, the rears tuck more than the fronts. My GLD is almost level with the guards (back looks slightly lower) and it still has a little front rake.

You need to brush up on your maaaaad Mk1 skillz.

White on black number plates look nice.. I ran them on my white mk1 previously and so does Tim B. Very period. I was actually running KG-062 plates off my old man's Karmann. haha.

Respect for getting out of the mk6 section

I'm going europlates but wanted to hold off until the conversion as NVW16V is currently misleading.

I'm sure John will help me make that decision

I reckon white on black looks pretty good, as per JohnC's photoshop.

Ha. I know how that happens. I never intended to do that with the 76er for door I scored, either.

Good to see the sound deadening has been lifted. Means you know what's underneath it. Lucky for you this is a 76er. In the later cars, the carpet is nailed in!
